Free For All - Episode 07 - Getting Anger Under Control - August 19th, 2007 - Rich Miller

Our fast and furious culture seems to be breeding fast and furious people. Annoyance, irritation, impatience, aggravation and rage are becoming more and more pervasive. What does God have to say about the subject of anger? This podcast will help you catch a glimpse of God's truth and may provide a mirror to show you more clearly your struggles with anger. Using the story of Jonah as a launching pad, Rich Miller confronts anger nose-to-nose and points the way to freedom.   Free For All - Episode 06 - Growing-up Spiritually (part 2) - Apr 6th, 2007 - Dr. Ken Martin

In Part 2 of "Growing-up Spiritually", Dr. Ken Martin looks at some reasons why some believers shy away from spiritual warfare. After all, is spiritual warfare really all that necessary for growing-up spiritually? And what has spiritual warfare got to do with effective servant ministry? This podcast explores and explains the process (started in Part 1) of how spiritual children not only grow into mature saints, but how the Bible expects believers to engage the enemy in warfare and then engage their peers through ministry. If you have ever wondered what difference spiritual warfare makes in spiritual growth, this podcast series may help answer some of your questions.

  Free For All - Episode 05 - Growing-up Spiritually (part 1) - Mar 15th, 2007 - Dr. Ken Martin

James 5:16 says, "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." While "public" sins may require "public" confession, this verse probably is better understood as confidential confession to godly intercessors who will offer prevailing prayer for the offender and provide wise counsel. Of course, this is where the Steps to Freedom come in. But who is "godly" enough for such a mandate? Gal. 6:1 says, "Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any tresspass, you who are spiritual restore such a one..." If all Christians are "in Christ" (and they are), who are the "spiritual" people Paul refers to? This podcast explores God’s mandate for maturity and exposes how spiritual warfare is intricately woven into God’s plan for spiritual growth.

 Free For All - Episode 02 - Oct 22nd, 2006 - Rich Miller

In this second in a series of controversial subjects, we tackle the subject of spiritual warfare. Is it wise to talk about how the devil operates and attacks believers or are we just giving saints an excuse to sin? “The devil made me do it” kind of thinking can make believers shirk their own responsibility when it comes to sin. Are we here at FICM playing into the devil’s hands by talking about his strategies or is teaching on spiritual warfare necessary for our survival? Hear about how God gives us victory over sin and Satan from Scriptures like Romans 8:1-4 and James 4:6-7. In this straight-shooting podcast, Rich Miller gives new hope to those who are struggling in their Christian lives.

  Free For All - Episode 01 - Oct 16th, 2006 - Rich Miller

Freedom in Christ Ministries has cut its teeth on telling the good news of our identity in Christ to God’s people. The Bible says we are safe, secure, accepted and important in Him. But our society is so self-centered, and church people can be too! Is all this talk about who we are unhealthy? Are we causing saints to be selfish? In this podcast we take a head-on approach to facing that criticism. We’ll take a look at John 13 and how Jesus’ grasp of who He was caused Him to be selfless not selfish. We conclude with 2 Corinthians 6:16 – 7:1 and 1 Peter 2:9-11. Selfish or selfless saints? Check out this podcast from Rich Miller to hear all about it.
